The right method once you are past a dozen pieces — and it gets cheaper the more you print.
Why screen printing, and when
Screen printing pushes ink through a mesh screen, one screen per colour. There is a setup cost per screen, which is why it makes no sense for three shirts — but once that cost spreads across a real quantity, nothing else competes on price or durability. A properly cured plastisol print outlasts the garment.
The crossover sits around twelve pieces. Below that, DTF wins because there is no setup at all. From roughly 48 pieces upward at one to three colours, screen printing wins decisively and keeps getting better — and at 48 we stop charging setup entirely.
What we run
Soft-hand plastisol for most work and waterbase when you want the print to disappear into the fabric. PMS colour matching on request. Up to six colours. Front, back, sleeve and oversized placements. Every screen is kept on file, so a reorder of the same design skips setup no matter how long it has been.

Saturday hours are rare around here. We keep them because coaches, barn managers and contractors do not work Monday to Friday either.

Common questions
What is the minimum for screen printing?
Twelve pieces per design. Below that the setup cost per shirt stops making sense, so we use DTF transfers instead — no minimum, no setup fee, full colour.
When is the setup fee waived?
At 48 pieces and above, automatically. It is also waived on every reorder of a design we have already run, regardless of quantity, because your screens are already on file.
How many colours can you print?
Up to six per location. Bear in mind each colour is a separate screen and a separate setup below 48 pieces, so a four-colour design at 12 pieces carries $100 in setup. If the artwork allows, simplifying to one or two colours saves real money — we will tell you when that is worth doing.
Can you match a specific Pantone?
Yes, we mix to PMS on request. Note that ink on a coloured garment reads slightly differently than on white, so we will flag anything that will not reproduce faithfully before we run it.
Do you print on garments I supply?
Yes. Bring one or two spares — even careful shops get the occasional misprint, and we would rather have a backup than come up short on your count.
